Cryotherapy Vs Ice Bath

Why Whole Body Cryotherapy is More Effective than Ice Baths
Ice Baths have been used regularly in professional and amateur sports for rehabilitation of athletic injuries. The Ice Bath affects the body in a completely different way than Whole Body Cryotherapy. The Cryosauna has been shown to be more beneficial, more convenient, and has no negative side effects.
Ice baths involve immersing the body in cold water of about 45°F to 60°F for 15 to 20 minutes, causing the body to struggle to warm blood and prevent hyperthermia, which can lead to stiff muscles and tendons, difficulty warming up, and skin issues.
Whole Body Cryotherapy exposes the body to extremely cold dry air ranging from -220°F to -280°F for 2-3 minutes, quickly cooling the skin and triggering vasoconstriction to protect core temperature, enriching the blood with hormones, enzymes, and oxygen, raising blood temperature, potentially killing viruses. After a session, rapid vasodilation and endorphin release enhance mood and recovery.
Cryotherapy allows immediate return to exercise without freezing tissues, helpful for multiple daily workouts.
